The Big Ten announced its All-Conference football teams Monday night and 7-5 Penn State
was sparsely represented.
Guard Stefen Wisniewski was the only first-team pick, and he was only tabbed such by the Big Ten coaches. The media voted Wisniewski to its second team.
Running back Evan Royster and defensive tackle Ollie Ogbu were both second-team choices by the coaches.
That was the extent of the Nittany Lions' representation on the first and second teams.
Making the coaches' honorable-mention list were: offensive tackle Quinn Barham, linebacker Chris Colasanti, cornerback D'Anton Lynn and receiver Derek Moye.
That quartet also made the media's honorable-mention team. Others on the media's HM list: safety Drew Astorino, Ogbu, Royster, defensive tackle Devon Still and kicker Collin Wagner.
Receiver Brett Brackett received the Big Ten Sportsmanship Award for the Lions.
Penn State, which finished 4-4 in the conference (tied for fourth), has wrapped up the regular season is waiting to learn its bowl destination.
