Wisniewski to Radiers

Posted Apr 29, 2011

With the 48th overall pick (No. 16 of Round 2) of the 2011 NFL Draft the Raiders selected former Penn State standout Stefen Wisniewski.

Former Penn State lineman Stefen Wisniewski was selected as the 48th overall NFL Draft selection by the Oakland Raiders. The Raiders appeared to have Wisniewski targeted on their board as the franchises' officials turned in the pick quickly to the league.

Wisniewski is a legendary name within the annals of the storied franchise as his uncle and fellow former Penn State lineman Steve Wisniewski played for the Raiders for 13 seasons, making the Pro Bowl eight times.

In fact Stefen will now be coached by his uncle who is the Raider's Assistant Offensive Line Coach. Wisniewski was the Raiders' first pick of the 2011 draft.
