A New Sukay
Penn State senior safety Nick Sukay has good news for the Nittany Nation. "I am full go, with everything," Sukay told FOS recently. Midway through the 2010 season, Sukay tore a pectoral muscle and missed the rest of the campaign. But now, the talented defensive back is ready to return better than ever. "I feel more confident and everything like that," the senior said. "And I feel like I have to be more of a leader and everything so I am taking it one game at a time." And his goals for the season are pretty straightforward. "To help the team win as much as I can," Sukay said. "And to improve myself individually and get better each and every game and pick up where I left off last season." Sukay will display his talents in the highly touted Nittany Lion secondary. "We have a lot of potential," Sukay said. "I don't think we are there yet. We have a lot of people with starting experience, and a lot of depth behind that even, so we are excited about the season." He added, "We have a lot of confidence, we think the ability to be the best, but I don't think we are quite there yet." Helping the secondary and their confidence? A tough camp. "It's been tougher than ever," Sukay said. "We have had a real tough camp. There is no holding back." A theme that seems to be dominating Penn State's preseason performance.
