Green Named Senior Day POG

Penn State fans tabbed the senior tailback as the team's Player of the Game vs. Nebraska. Also included is a post-game video interview.

It wasn't under the circumstances he had hoped. But Penn State tailback Stephfon Green finally had a serious impact on a game during his senior season.

Playing his final home contest as a Nittany Lion, Green carried 17 times for 71 yards and a pair of scores in PSU's 17-14 loss to Nebraska at Beaver Stadium last Saturday.

Green missed the first five games of the season due to a suspension for off-field issues. In the four games prior to Saturday, his best effort was nine carries for 33 yards at Northwestern.

Here is how the voting broke down (submissions were light this week for obvious reasons):

McGloin was 16 of 34 for 193 yards; Moye caught four passes for 78 yards; Stupar had a game-high 13 tackles; Hodges had nine tackles.

We caught up with Green after the game to talk about Senior Day, his return to the spotlight and more.
