DALLAS — The 2011 season did not unfold as planned for Penn State sophomore quarterback Rob Bolden.
He began the year as the starter but finished it backing up Matt McGloin. His numbers — 46 of 109 for one touchdown and four interceptions — were not very good.
And yet with McGloin having been sidelined with a head injury the past two weeks, Bolden may well get the start when the Nittany Lions take on Houston in the TicketCity Bowl here Jan. 2.
For critics who wonder if he is up to the task, Bolden has one thing to say.
"I've got one more game, just watch," he said.
