Penn State Hall of Fame football coach Joe Paterno, who died of lung cancer Sunday morning, will have closed-casket public viewings.
There are two public viewings scheduled at the Pasquerilla Spiritual Center on the PSU campus, one from 1 p.m. until 11 p.m. Tuesday and another from 8 a.m. until noon Wednesday.
During the viewings, at least two current or former players will be on either side of Paterno's casket. The men will rotate in 45-minute intervals.
Cameramen and videogrpahers will be allowed into the building, but only a few at time and on a 10-minute, rotating basis. They must shoot from a designated area and have been asked to be respectful of the situation.
It is not clear if members of Paterno's family will be on hand for the public viewings. There will be a private viewing for family and friends Tuesday morning.
A private funeral service is scheduled for 2 p.m. Wednesday at the Spiritual Center, followed by a procession through campus and nearby State College. The site of Paterno's burial has not been released and the family has requested that the ceremony be kept private.
On Thursday, Penn State will hold A Memorial to Joe at the Bryce Jordan Center on campus starting at 2 p.m.
