Quarterback is a key area of need for Penn State's Class of 2013. The Nittany Lions have wasted no time addressing that need.
Christian Hackenberg, a 6-foot-3, 205-pounder from Fork Union (Va.) Military Academy committed to Penn State Tuesday, a source close to the situation told FOS.
Fork Union coach Mickey Sullivan confirmed the commitment via the school's Web site.
Hackenberg holds offers from a host of SEC program, including Alabama, Florida and South Carolina. He attended a Junior Day at PSU in mid-February.
As a child, Hackenberg lived in Tamaqua, Pa., before his family relocated to the South.
