The reason? Issah said he wants to wait until after his senior season.
“I know a lot of guys that commit early, and then they get complacent for their senior year. I don't want that to be me,” Issah said.
During his visit -- which began after the game started -- Issah said he saw a lot of guys he knew, calling the visit “awesome.” He met with defensive line coach Larry Johnson and linebackers coach Ron Vanderlinden, and liked what he saw not just from the defense, but the offense as well.
“The coaches said we wouldn't see much on either side of the ball, but the defense did their thing, and the offense did, too,” Issah said.
Issah also noted that a big factor in where he decides to play will be team's situation in terms of personnel.
“It'll depend on how I can fit into the program, what positions they need filled, and I'd like to go somewhere I can get on the field early,” Issah said.
“I don't want go somewhere and not have it work.”
The junior linebacker will take a couple more visits, including a trip to Oregon, where he has family in Portland.
"I'm going out to Oregon for the NIKE camp this summer, and am going to visit out there as well," he said. "I'm from Portland, so I'm going to visit my family when I'm out there, too."
Issah confirmed Penn State coaches will be visiting his school on Wednesday.
