Is Davis undecided?

Back in late May, Penn State picked up a verbal from Warren, Oh. (Howland HS) cornerback, Tony Davis. A relative unknown at the time, Tony has since upped his stock with a great performance at Michigan camp. Could the Wolverines change his mind or is he committed firmly to Penn State?

A recent GoBlueWolverine sent a scare into Nittany Lion fans, suggesting that cornerback verbal Tony Davis may be taking a renewed interest in Michigan after camping there. Could the Wolverines change the fifth Penn State commit's mind?

"They could, but it's not very likely," stated Tony.

During his previous dealings with Michigan, Tony had never been really interested in the Wolverines.

"I just wasn't really into Michigan. It just wasn't my fit," explained Tony.

How much does he like Michigan now?

"A little. I met Coach English. He explained everything, went through everything," said Tony of Michigan's new defensive backs coach, who was hired when Teryl Austin left for the NFL. "He didn't tell me anything about (an offer). He said he was just going to keep on recruiting me and stay on me."

While Tony did go to the camp, he did not go specifically to try and impress the Michigan coaches enough to offer.

"I just went to the camp just to go get back into technique and everything. Just get back into it," explained Tony, who said he has spent most of his summer running and lifting, getting ready for his senior season.

But now with a piqued interest in Michigan, does Tony plan on making an official visit to Ann Arbor later this fall?

"I was thinking about it, but I'm not sure about it," admitted Tony.

GoBlueWolverine suggested that Tony would make a final choice after his senior season concluded. Is it true that he plans on rethinking his decision to attend Penn State?

"Oh no, I already made my choice," said Tony, who said he's confident he's made his final decision and listed himself as being between 95% and 99.9% sure he's a Nittany Lion.

Jay Paterno keeps in touch with Tony on a regular basis, writing him weekly letters. Tony hopes to make a trip to Penn State with his parents sometime in the near future because they have not yet seen the campus. Unfortunately because of a medical issue his mom must take care of, the family will most likely have to delay that trip until his official visit.

Tony, who plans to major in marketing at Penn State, reaffirmed all the things that drew him to Penn State.

"I like the coaching staff, the facilities, the school," said Tony.

Any school that has called Tony looking to recruit him has gotten the same message.

"I pretty much tell them all that I'm all right. I'm going to Penn State."
