Zayd Issah

Penn State grabbed its third linebacker in the Class of 2013 and 14th commitment overall with a pledge from Zayd Issah.

Linebacker was a position of need in Penn State's Class of 2013. And Bill O'Brien and his staff have made serious strides toward meeting that need.

Friday, Zayd Issah joined Zach Bradshaw and Brandon Bell as 'backers in the Nittany Lions' class.

Issah holds offers from programs like Virginia, Arizona State, Boston College, Iowa, Maryland, Rutgers and Pittsburgh.

As a junior, Issah helped lead Central Dauphin (Pa.) to a PIAA Class AAAA Championship as one of the top two-way players in the state.

On offense, he carried the ball 235 times for 1,345 yards and 21 TDs. He also caught 29 passes for 672 yards and 10 TDs.

On defense, He recorded 123 tackles, 14 sacks, one interception, four forced fumbles and three fumble recoveries.

His performance earned him Co-Player of the Year in Class AAAA.
