Penn State linebacker Michael Mauti fielded questions on Tuesday morning on the defense, offense, linebackers, seniors and much more. Here a sampling of his comments:
On the seniors' message this week to the team:
"It's been mostly by action, not words. Everything needs to come together and we need to stay focused. We're just keeping everyone one the same page and ready for game week."
On the defensive differences between Roof and Bradley:
"You have two different defensive philosophies. We're going to be multiple in what we do. Guys will be flying around. The amount of what we're doing will be different. On how much he's been able to do with tackling and contact:
"I haven't missed any days (this summer) and I feel good. There's not restriction on what I have done in camp or this summer. I am good."
On what he'll be felling Saturday:
"It will be very emotional and exciting. Not just for me but for everyone. We all love football and this is what everybody wants to get back to - flying around and having fun and giving fans something to cheer for."
On what excites him the most from the defense heading into the season opener:
"I think what excites me the most is being able to get..."
