Below is a sampling of Penn State CB Stephon Morris' comments from his Wednesday conference call. You can catch his full comments and get in on the discussion around them at the link at the bottom.
On his excitement level heading into the season.
"Just to go out there and finally know that … the coaches trust me, my teammates trust me. I'm just ready to go out there and lay it on the line."
On how close he came to transferring after last season.
"I was pretty much leaving after last season. When Tom Bradley and them were still here, I was pretty much out the door. But I was here to stay once Coach O'Brien got here." (Later he added: I just felt like I owed a lot to Penn State.)
On if he is happy with his decision to stay.
"I'm very happy with my decision. To be honest, I'm just happy I stayed with this team, especially the senior class. … Leaving was never (in) my mind once Coach O'Brien and them got here. My decision, I don't regret it. I don't even think about it. I'm just happy that I get to suit up against Ohio in Week 1."
On playing more man-to-man coverage than in the past.
"We didn't really play man..."
