Mauti Named Big Ten DPOW

Michael Mauti named Defensive Player of the Week by the Big Ten for his impressive performance against the Illini.

With six tackles, two interceptions (including a 99-yard return) and a day full of impacting plays, Michael Mauti was honored as the Big Ten Defensive Player of the Week for his performance against Illinois.

The Penn State linebacker's second interception set up PSU's final touchdown drive en route to a 35-7 road victory. The Big Ten honor is the third of Mauti's career and the second of the 2012 season.

Previously he named the Defensive Player of the Week on September 17 for his performance against Navy.
