WTAJ's chief meteorologist gives the lowdown on what to expect weather-wise when Penn State and Ohio State have at it at Beaver Stadium Saturday.

Hello Nittany Nation!

There is a lot of excitement in the air and no, I'm not talking about Hurricane Sandy. The Buckeyes of Ohio State are coming in to town for what will be Penn State’s biggest game of the season.

There is a front that is moving into Pennsylvania and will bring some rain or drizzle to Happy Valley later Saturday. Clouds will thicken for the pregame tailgates with some showers or drizzle possible for the lead up to kickoff.

Temperatures will briefly reach into the 60s before any rain, but then should settle back to about 56 degrees for kickoff. A bit of rain and drizzle is likely for the game.

I would bring the rain gear. While there is a chance that you may not need it, it's always better to be safe than sorry. With temperatures in the 50s and sunset occurring during the game, I would also plan on bringing a jacket to keep you warm.
