Nittany Lions Land Man of Troy

Troy Vincent Jr., a top Class of 2014 defensive back, committed to Penn State Wednesday. He is the son of former NFL standout Troy Vincent Sr.

Troy Vincent had to see Penn State one final time before deciding to join its Class of 2014. That opportunity came Wednesday.

Visiting University Park for PSU's barbecue outside Lasch Building, Vincent became the 12th member of the Nittany Lions' Class of 2014 Wednesday afternoon. With that his recruitment came to end, even if the official visits he said he would take are a casualty of the decision.

Vincent family friend Stephon Morris, a former Nittany Lion defensive back, tweeted the news late Wednesday afternoon.

"Congrats to my lil cousin Troy Vincent Jr for committing to We Are," Morris tweeted, referring to the "We Are … Penn State" chant often heard at Nittany Lion home games.

The 5-foot-10, 175-pound FOX Sports NEXT four-star prospect picked the Lions over offers from Maryland, Pittsburgh, North Carolina State and Wisconsin, among others.

He is the son of former Badger and NFL defensive back Troy Vincent Sr.
