When closing arguments concluded at the Dauphin County Courthouse Tuesday, Wenner took all of 10 seconds to render his decision.
“It's a tragic day for Penn State, to say the least,” Wenner said. “Hold all charges based on prima fascia findings.”
Former PSU president Graham Spanier, former vice-president Gary Schultz and former athletic director Tim Curley showed no emotion as the decision was announced. Barring plea agreements, they will stand trial on charges of perjury, obstruction of justice, child endangerment and conspiracy. All of the charges were new for Spanier. Schultz and Curley had previously been held over on perjury charges.
Estimates on a start date for the trial range from January to April of 2014.
