The awards keep rolling in for Penn State receiver (Allen) Robinson, as he was named a second-team All-American by the Football Writers Association of America Thursday. It was his sixth such honor, which includes first-team nods from CBSSports.com and Sporting News.
Thursday marked another achievement for Robinson, one that involved Nittany Lion fans.
In an expected landslide victory, the record-setting junior was named Penn State Offensive MVP by the FightOnState.com online community. The FOS postseason awards are the only honors bestowed solely based on PSU fans voting.
The voting broke down as follows:
WR Allen Robinson, 75 percent
QB Christian Hackenberg, 18 percent
OG John Urschel, 3 percent
RB Zach Zwinak, 3 percent
RB Bill Belton, .5 percent
Stay tuned for our Penn State Defensive MVP voting, which will get underway soon.
