Bates Checks in With PSU Commit

The standout Class of 2015 lineman from Pennsylvania gave the nod to the Nittany Lions during a Junior Day visit Saturday.

Penn State landed a commitment from one of the best Class of 2015 offensive tackles in Pennsylvania Saturday. Ryan Bates, a four-star prospect from Archbishop Wood in Warminster, told FightoOnState.com Greg Pickel that he gave a verbal pledge to the Nittany Lions.

He is on campus for the first Junior Day of the James Franklin era at PSU.

Bates already holds offers from a who's-who of power programs, including Michigan, Ohio State and South Carolina.
