Penn State held its annual Pro Day for NFL scouts last Thursday. With several NFL representatives in attendance, Nittany Lion QB Zack Mills and several teammates had the opportunity to show off their skills. How did things go for Mills?

We caught up with former PSU quarterback Zack Mills to get an assessment of his performance and feelings of how Pro Day went.

Mills' session did not start off as he had hoped. As he told us last week, he has recently been bothered by a nagging hamstring injury, which reappeared on Thursday. As he explained, "Yeah, my hamstring popped and gave out on a 40 [yard dash] run. I only got about 35 yards into the first run before it gave. They still clocked me at about 4.67 seconds on that one, though."

This ended up limiting his participation in various events, although he was able to participate in throwing drills for the NFL personnel with no apparent issues. "I thought I threw it around pretty well. I felt pretty good," Mills told us of his passing.

His tossing drills consisted of various types of passes to seniors Gerald Smith, John Bronson, Paul Jefferson and Ryan Scott.

Mills indicated there were upwards of 20 NFL representatives present for the event, including the Pittsburgh Steelers and the Baltimore Ravens. As he explained, "First we took the Wonderlick test along with some other test. Then we went right into the agility drills."

Although he did not find out his score, he described the Wonderlick test as "Not too big of a deal."

He expects to find out the various teams who may have interest in him shortly through his agent, Brett Senior. When asked who his dream team would be at this point he replied, "Shoot, right now any team looks good to me."
