Four days ago we reported that a decision was eminent from New Jersey tight end Doug Klopacz. The decision came sooner then expected for the No. 36 rated player in the Garden State, as he picked the Nittany Lions Friday evening.

"I'm honored to come play football at Penn State,” he told Scout.com shortly after telling Lion assistant Dick Anderson of his decision.

Klopacz (6-3, 260, 4.8) was a relatively unknown commodity prior to his performances at the Elite College Combine and the Penn State summer camp. He played offensive tackle last year for St. Joseph Regional, a powerhouse program in Montvale, N.J. Klopacz said in our last interview the Nittany Lions were unsure where he’d fit into the grand scheme of things if he picked Penn State.

Klopacz could be a tight end or an offensive lineman, but he admittedly doesn’t know where he’ll play at PSU.

”They just said if I come there it would be as an athlete, and they would figure out where I would best fit on the team when I get there,” he said last week week, before making his decision.

We will have more on this commitment shortly.
