Tipoff: 12:30 p.m., Bryce Jordan Center

Records: Penn State 0-0; Cornell 1-1

DeChellis Press Conference: Hear Ed Here.

Lineups:

Penn State -- F Travis Parker, 6-5 Sr. (0.0); F Geary Claxton, 6-5 So. (0.0); C Brandon Hassell, 6-10 So. (0.0.); G Ben Luber, 6-0 Jr. (0.0); G David Jackson, 6-1 Jr. (0.0).

Cornell -- F Ryan Rourke, 6-8 Sr. (13.5); F Lenny Collins, 6-6 Sr. (18.5); C Andrew Naeve, 6-9 Jr. (7.5); G Adam Gore, 6-0 Fr. (16.5); G David Lisle, 6-4 Sr (0.0).

TV: None.

Radio: Paul Alexander (play-by-play) and Dick Jerardi (color) on the call for the Penn State Sports Network.

Notes: The Big Red smoked St. Francis (75-54) in their opener before throwing a scare into No. 16 Syracuse (a 67-72 loss) in the Carrier Dome. Cornell kept that game close by going 11 of 23 from the arc. Four of the team's five starters are effective 3-point shooters. … Parker has had some problems with back spasms in the preseason but should be fine come game time. … Claxton is by far the best player on the PSU roster. But DeChellis is having trouble finding an effective backup at the three spot. He may use Parker there (with rookie Jamelle Cornley coming in at four) and/or use three guards when Claxton needs a break or if he encounters foul trouble.

FOS: Penn State 72, Cornell 69. Look for the Lions to push out on the arc defensively and to sneak out of the BJC with a tight opening victory.

FOS prediction record: 0-0
