Walton Becomes Latest Nittany Lion

J.B. Walton, the 6-foot-3, 270-pound, four-star offensive lineman from Lackey High in Indian Head, Md., committed to Penn State at a press conference broadcast live on ESPN U tonight. He marks commitment number 18 for the Nittany Lions.

J.B. Walton, who ranks No. 27 nationally for offensive linemen, selected Penn State over Nebraska among other schools, including Florida State and West Virginia. He joins fellow Maryland prospects A.J. Wallace, Bani Gbadyu, Navorro Bowman and Aaron Maybin in the Nittany Lions' recruiting class.

Walton has tremendous quickness off the line and is one of the nation's premier pulling guards. He joins a Penn State team that graduates four of its five starting offensive linemen from the 2005 campaign.
