Zug Honored as Area POY

Graham Zug

Penn State walk-on Class of 2006 member Graham Zug beat out some hefty competition to be named the Lancaster-Lebanon League High School Player of the Year, including Penn State recruit Jared Odrick and quarterback prospect Pat Bostick, each of whom were finalists for the honor.

Expected to report to University Park in late June as a preferred walk-on, Graham Zug was named the Lancaster-Lebanon League High School Player of the Year for 2005 at the Manheim Touchdown Club Banquet held on May 16.

Zug beat out fellow finalists Jared Odrick, a defensive end and fellow member of Penn State's Class of 2006 and Pat Bostick, a quarterback prospect who is committed to Pittsburgh.

A 6-foot-4, 185 pound wide receiver/safety, Zug was a first team Associated Press Class AAA All-State selection this past season.

He ended his career with 137 receptions for 2,282 yards and 33 touchdowns, along with 15 interceptions.
