Josh Marks, a hulking offensive lineman from Southern Columbia High in Catawissa, Pa., said he is holding a press conference to announce his college choice at 7 p.m. Friday. The All-State pick had previously narrowed his list of potential schools to Penn State, Pitt, Rutgers, Temple and West Virginia.

Marks said the press conference will be held at his high school auditorium.

While Marks is staying mum on the winner of the battle — his high school coach told the Bloomsburg Press Enterprise he doesn't even know where his star is going — all signs point to him becoming the second member of the Nittany Lions' Class of 2007.

Marks made a visit to Penn State earlier this week, during which time he toured campus, went fishing with PSU recruiting coordinator Mike McQueary and met face-to-face with Nittany Lion head coach Joe Paterno.

He was scheduled to visit Pitt in the near future, but called the Panther staff to cancel that trip.

Offensive line is a focal point for the Penn State staff with its upcoming class. And Marks, a four-star prospect as rated by Scout.com, may be the best in the state. The most recent visit to Happy Valley was the latest in a series of trips, which included the Blue-White Game, a late-winter junior day and several home games last season.

Stay tuned for more on Marks.
