Tight end/defensive end Andrew Szczerba has committed to Penn State. Szczerba's coach, Bill DiNardo, informed of the commitment moments ago. Szczerba is the 12th known player to pick the Nittany Lions for the Class of 2007.

Andrew Szczerba visited Penn State Sunday. According his coach at Salesianum School, the tight end/defensive end informed the Nittany Lions of his decision while on the visit.

"Andrew made a verbal commitment to Penn State on Sunday afternoon," Bill DiNardo said.

Szcerba is a 6-foot-6, 250-pounder who was recruited by a host of schools across the country. He most recently said his top choices were Penn State, Virginia and Maryland.

We will have more on this story once we get ahold of Szczerba.
