Jeremy Kapinos' punting against Ohio State earned him co-honors for Big Ten Special Teams' Player of the Week. With an average of 50.5 yards per punt, he is tied for the fifth highest distance average in a game in Penn State history.

Kapinos placed three of his six punts inside the 20-yard line Saturday in Columbus and still managed to average 50.5 yards per boot. The senior punter recorded his three longest punts of the year with boots of 52, 58 and 68 yards.

The 68-yard punt came from the Penn State endzone and was the third-longest kick of his PSU career. His first two punts of the game went 52 and 58 yards to put the Buckeyes on their own 19 and five-yard lines and his third punt went 40 yards and put OSU on the seven-yard line.

Kapinos has earned Big Ten weekly honors in each of the last three seasons.

He shared this week's honor with Ken DeBauche of Wisconsin.
