Green Sticking With Trojans

On Signing Day at Penn State, all eyes were focused on Little Rock, Ark., of all places. Because that happens to be the home of Broderick Green, a 6-foot-1, 230-pound running back from Pulaski Academy who was the last remaining prospect in the Nittany Lions' crosshairs for their Class of 2007.

Broderick Green, who had previously committed to USC but re-opened his recruitment to include Penn State and Ohio State, was said to be leaning heavily to the Nittany Lions earlier in the week. But on Wednesday he reversed field again, re-affirming his earlier commitment to the Trojans.

The late loss of Green leaves Penn State without a natural running back in the Class of 2007. With workhorse Tony Hunt off to the NFL, running back was a key this year.

With Green out of the picture, the Nittany Lions will finish with 21 members in their Class of 2007.
