Wes, who's senior season doesn't officially begin until tomorrow night, claims at least 50 offers already. It's no wonder Penn State fans are hoping to see him taking a serious interest in their Nittany Lions. Jefferson was rumored to be one of over 100,000 in attendance at Beaver Stadium this past Saturday.
The 5-star linebacker, however, said that he was not at PSU this weekend. He plays most of his games this year on Saturdays which makes it difficult to attend college games. Since he plays his first game tomorrow night, he may use his free weekend to check out a game at Tennessee this Saturday.
Wes consistently names Notre Dame, Miami and Maryland among his favorites. The remainder of that list seems to vary somewhat with the team whose fan base a given reporter represents usually making an appearance (that Wes is an intelligent young man). Wes told LionNews that Penn State and Virginia were some of his other top teams.
When asked to list other favorites, Jefferson included Ohio State, Florida State and Syracuse.
