Although Jack Crawford came to the United States to pursue the sport of basketball, he found quickly that football was a second sport he also excelled in. Honored as a first-team All-Area and All-Parochial in his first season of football ever, Crawford was heavily pursued, receiving offers from programs like Ohio State, Michigan, Boston College, Rutgers, Syracuse and Pitt.
This past weekend Crawford made visits to Ohio State on Saturday and Penn State on Sunday, ultimately selecting the Nittany Lions, which most of the Nittany Nation expected, including seven of FOS' eight Fearless Forecasters.
The 6-foot-6, 250-pound tight end/defensive end, who boasts 4.55 40-yard dash speed, was recruited by the Nittany Lions as a defensive end prospect. As he told us previously about the position, "At [defensive] end, it's just hitting the quarterback. I like doing that the most. I like hitting guys. I look forward to playing at a higher level."
