Justin King called him the real deal. Dan Connor raved about his ability.
But Penn State fans have yet to see redshirt freshman tailback Stephfon Green in action.
Though he was nearly pressed into to duty on a couple of occasions in 2007 due to suspensions and injury problems, the 5-foot-10, 190-pounder never did make in on the field and as such preserved his redshirt.
Now Green can't wait for the start of spring practice to arrive March 24 so he can begin fighting for playing time. He talked about that and several other subjects — including his number change — when we caught up with him during PSU's THON tours of Lasch Building last weekend.
