North Carolina offensive lineman is the initial member of Penn State's Class of 2009.

Penn State landed its first verbal commitment for the Class of 2009 recently when North Carolina offensive lineman Ty Howle. Howle committed Monday just after wrapping up a visit to Penn State. "I told Coach [Larry] Johnson around 2 o'clock," Howle said. Stay tuned for more on Howle shortly.
