Penn State kept its recruiting momentum going with its second verbal of the day Tuesday. It came from Oxon Hill, Md., receiver Brandon Felder.
The 6-foot-3, 165-pound product of Oxon Hill High chose the Nittany Lions over offers from Maryland, Syracuse, and Boston College.
I called Coach Larry Johnson tonight and committed to Penn State, Felder said. He was congratulating me on making a great decision and told me that I will be getting a great education.
Felder only recently received his written scholarship offer from Penn State and the rest was just a formality.
I knew all along that I wanted to go to Penn State, Felder said. I have always loved everything about Penn State and then with the tradition, education, and the relationship with the coaches they just felt like the right place.
Felder is glad to get his recruitment over and is happy with his decision, with just a few loose ends to tie up.
I am going to go visit Penn State again this summer, Felder said. I am thinking about enrolling early, but I am not sure yet. The coaches told me that they don't want me to redshirt, so I am trying to figure out what is the best thing to do.
