Sunday evening Cory James revealed to FOS premium members that Penn State's win over Illinois paid off in landing Glenn Carson. Today, a local New Jersey sports site confirmed our story on Carson's pledge.

Glenn Carson was one of a slew of Penn State prospects who headed to Happy Valley on Saturday to take in the prime-time atmosphere of Beaver Stadium. The "White House" environment was so impressive Carson decided it was the fanbase he wanted to play his college career in front of over the next several years.

"I was kind of sure about two or three weeks ago, but I wanted to see Boston College to make sure that Penn State was the right choice," Carson told Digital Sports. "Overall I just felt that Penn State was the better school for me and if I could be in the best place.

"It's just been going through my mind for a long time now, doing the pros and cons for a while. The visit was the deciding factor, everything went as good as I thought it would."

Carson is a Scout 4-star prospect ranked No. 7 nationally at middle linebacker.
