Saturday was a big day for Derrick Williams as he led Penn State to a prime-time victory over Illinois with six rushes for 33 yards (5.5 YPC) and one touchdown, six receptions for 75 yards (12.5 YPC) and one touchdown and three kick returns for 133 yards (44.3 YPC) and one touchdown.
It was a history-making game as he become the first player under Joe Paterno to score a rushing, receiving and return touchdown in a single game.
And in appreciation of his efforts, hundreds of Nittany Lion fans thanked him in style, with a landslide victory for the FOS Player of the Game honor.
