WEST LAFAYETTE, Ind. — Penn State football coach Joe Paterno worked from the press box during the No. 6 Nittany Lions' 20-6 win over Purdue here Saturday.

Afterward, Paterno was in a good mood, and even fielded several questions about the aching right leg that forced him off the field for the game with the Boilermakers.

Paterno said it is not a problem with his knee, but rather some form of arthritis. He added that he has good days and bad days with the leg.

Check out some of the meat of what he had to say on the topic below. We also have footage of him leaving Ross-Ade Stadium in a white van (he did not take the team bus) to rousing chants and applause from Penn State fans.
