Going to the Rose Bowl? Ring in the new year with an event featuring former players, FOS staffers and plenty of Penn State fans! We'll be getting together at Mr. Pockets in Manhattan Beach.

Heading out to the Rose Bowl to see Penn State take on USC and still have not made New Year's Eve plans?

Well, we have just the thing for you.

Heading out to the Rose Bowl and have already made New Year's Eve plans.

Then break them, because you won't want to miss what we have going on.

On Dec. 31, starting at 7 p.m. (PST), FightOnState.com will take part in a special New Year's Eve bash at the sports bar being called “Penn State West” for Rose Bowl week, Mr. Pockets in Manhattan Beach.

Keith Conlin, the starting offensive lineman on the Nittany Lions' unbeaten 1994 Rose Bowl team, is returning to the scene of one of the program's greatest triumphs.

But first, he will be hosting the New Year's Eve party, and will be joined by a number of former PSU players, including E.Z. Smith, Mac Morrison, Eric Cole and others.

FightOnState.com is happy to be the official online sponsor of the party, and FOS staffers Mark Brennan and Mark Harrington will be on hand for the event, as will Pat Boland of ESPN Radio 1450 in State College.

That trio, as well as the former players, will be happy to talk Penn State football, the monster matchup with the Trojans in the Rose Bowl and sports in general as we ring in the new year in three different times zones.

All the while, you will be able to enjoy great specials on food and drinks, and have the chance to win Penn State-themed door prizes — PSU clothes, autographed memorabilia and FOS subscriptions.

So whatever you were thinking about doing on New Year's Eve, we humbly suggest you considering joining Keith Conlin, a bunch of former PSU players and the crew from FightOnState.com at Mr. Pockets in Manhattan Beach.

The action kicks off at 7 p.m. (PST) and will go on past midnight.

For directions, please see this link.

Check out the radio ad here.

There will be a small cover charge for fans to attend the event. Penn State students will be admitted free with a PSU ID.

ESPN Radio 1450 will also be doing radio shows from Mr. Pockets on the afternoons of Dec. 30 and 31, so you are welcome to stop by and say hello to Conlin and the boys then, too.
