Penn State coach Joe Paterno had an extended press conference with the media Friday for the first time since the end of the 2008 regular season.
Paterno, who had hip replacement surgery Nov. 23, walking into the press conference in the Lasch Building without the aid of crutches or a cane.
He was in good spirits as he discussed his team, the recent departure of backup quarterback Pat Devlin, Rose Bowl opponent USC and more.
