See what the true freshman linebacker had to say after making a suddent impact at Penn State in 2008. We caught up with him in Los Angeles.

With a largely veteran team, Penn State did not have to rely on many true freshmen in 2008. But one rookie who did see serious playing time was linebacker Mike Mauti.

After enrolling in January of 2008, Mauti made a rapid climb up the depth chart. During the regular season, he saw snaps at all three 'backer spots and was a mainstay on special teams.

We caught up with him prior to the Rose Bowl to get his take on the 2008 season and find out what his future holds.
