Penn State All-Big Ten linebacker Navorro Bowman is facing off-field issues again.
According to WJAC-TV in State College, Bowman is scheduled to have a hearing in Centre County Court Tuesday in which his probation will be reviewed.
Bowman has been on probation since last May, when he pleaded guilty to a charge of disorderly conduct in connection with a fight that occurred at the on-campus HUB Oct. 7, 2007. Along being sentenced to one year of probation, he was ordered to pay a fine and perform community service.
According to WJAC, county officials believe Bowman may have violated his probation.
The station said county Judge Bradley Lunsford is scheduled to hold a hearing Tuesday in which Bowman's probation status will be eviewed.
The station also said Bowman has admitted to county officials that he has smoked marijuana twice since December and that he has not completed any of the 100 hours of community service to which he was sentenced.
Bowman was held out of spring practice in 2008 while his case was working its way through the court system. He was reinstated to the program in the summer, and emerged at State's best linebacker.
He posted a team-high 106 tackles, despite not starting until the fourth week of the season. Bowman will be a senior academically next fall but has two seasons of eligibility remaining.
