Nittany Lions will open the season with a trio of noon kickoffs on the Big Ten Network.

Penn State opens it season with a trio of home games at Beaver Stadium, and the Nittany Lions better be ready to get down to business.

The Big Ten announced Wednesday that PSU's first three games — non-conference tilts with Akron (Sept. 5), Syracuse (Sept. 12) and Temple (Sept. 19) — will all kick at noon and will all be carried by the Big Ten Network.

The Nittany Lions have been notoriously slow starters in early-kickoff games the past few years.

Other kickoff times already set include a Sept. 26 home game with Iowa (8 p.m., ESPN or ABC), an Oct. 17 home game with Minnesota (3:30 p.m., ABC or ESPN) and a Oct. 31 game at Northwestern (4:30 p.m., ESPN or ESPN2).
