It's been said that a college football team makes the most improvement before the first and second game of a season.
We don't know if that's true. What is certain is that at Penn State, the official depth chart sees the most changes between Week 1 and Week 2.
That's due in part to the fact that the PSU staff does not include true freshmen on the initial depth chart unless the rookies in question enrolled the previous January.
Keep that in mind when looking at the depth chart below, which will be part of PSU's official release previewing the Akron game.
