The Offense-Defense All-American Bowl continued their selections this week, adding Baltimore City College (Md.) wide receiver Adrian Coxson.
“I just talked to Adrian and his coach,” said O-D’s Brett Toler, “They sent in all their paperwork and are excited about it.”
The 6’1, 194-lb Coxson is a five-star prospect and the eighth-ranked wide receiver in this year’s class. As a junior, he caught 40 passes for 987 yards and 12 touchdowns. He is committed to Penn State and that commitment may bring an added bonus down in Myrtle Beach.
“One of the things that excited him is opportunity to catch passes from his future quarterback, Robert Bolden.”
The Orchard Lake St. Mary’s (Mich.) quarterback is also committed to Penn State and has also been invited to the participate in the All-American Bowl.
“Robert is trying to get some things worked out,” Toler said, “The rules in Michigan would prohibit him from playing another sport if he were to play in our game and he also plays basketball and run track.”
The O-D All-American Bowl will take place on January 2nd, 2010. Scout.com will have full coverage of the game, including practice reports and interviews.
