Rolling up 120 yards on 13 carries a touchdown, Stephfon Green created a much-needed spark for Penn State's ground game. As a thank you for his efforts and performance, Nittany Lion fans voted him their Fight On State Player of the Illinois Game.
Green received an impressive 61 percent of the hundreds of votes cast by fans. Green beat out QB Daryll Clark, LB Josh Hull, DE Eric Latimore and RB Evan Royster
As an honorable mention though, the offensive line received several write-in votes. The line had a big day, blocking for two 100+-yard performances and allowing Clark to go 17 for 25 for 175 yards with seven carries for 83 yards and two touchdowns.
The Fight On State Player of the Game is the FIRST and ONLY honor awarded to Penn State players by Penn State fans. Voting is conducted exclusively after every PSU football game at FightOnState.com
