Former Nittany Lion Matt Hahn breaks down Penn State's victory over the Wolverines in the Big House Saturday.

General Thoughts
The game started off shaky, with Michigan being able to drive the ball down the field on its first drive. After letting up the early score, it was all Nittany Lions for the rest of the game. In my opinion, the coaches get much of the credit in this win. Very balanced attack. If Penn State plays like this the rest of the season it will be hard to beat.

Key Play
Daryll Clark's 60-yard TD pass to Andrew Quarless. Having an athletic, dependable tight end in an already explosive offense is a defensive coordinator's worst nightmare. Quarless causes serious matchup problems for any defense.

Game MVP
For the sake of switching it up, I'm going to give my game MVP to sure-handed Graham Zug. He is one of the unsung heroes on the offense and doesn't get a lot of pub outside of the three of four banners in Beaver Stadium.

What I Liked
When Evan Royster goes over a hundred yards good things happen.

What I Didn't Like
Another blocked punt, Navarro Bowman was pushed back and his man was able to come up with the block. The game was pretty close to being out of reach at that point, but special teams' breakdowns will kill you. Remember the Iowa game? If Iowa doesn't block that punt I strongly believe PSU is undefeated right now.

Did You Notice?
Sean Lee moved up to sixth on PSU's all-time tackles list.

And Another Thing
Remember what happened last time Penn State traveled to Northwestern? I don't foresee the same type of thriller that unfolded in 2005. But it's fun to reminisce about great games like that.
