Bowman Tackles Player of the Game

In a runaway, the Nittany Lion linebacker is honored as the FOS POG for his performance vs. the Hoosiers.

Talk about landslides.

In Penn State's 31-20 win over Indiana at Beaver Stadium last week, Nittany Lion linebacker Navorro Bowman had a team-high 12 tackles, a sack and a 73-yard interception return for a key touchdown.

He was the clear star of the game. But just to make sure, we still went through with our Player of the Game voting, adding running back Evan Royster (134 total yards) and linebacker Sean Lee (10 tackles, five pass break-ups) to the ballot.

They never had a chance.

Penn State fans gave Bowman POG honors with 98 percent over the vote.

Lee got less than two percent and Royster less than one percent.

The Fight On State Player of the Game honor is the FIRST and ONLY award given to Penn State players by Penn State fans. Voting is conducted exclusively at after every PSU football game.

Thank you to everyone who voted this week.
