Royster Set to Return

Penn State's All-Big Ten tailback announces that he will be with the Nittany Lions in 2010. He has a shot at the school's career rushing record.

You keep some, you lose some.

One day after word surfaced that Penn State junior linebacker Navorro Bowman would be making an early exit to the NFL, the Nittany Lions learned that junior running back Evan Royster would return for his senior season.

In a prepared statement, Royster said, “I wanted to return to finish my degree and for my final year at Penn State. I'm looking forward to next season.”

A first-team All-Big Ten pick in 2009, Royster has 2,918 career rushing yards. The school record of 3,398 has stood for nearly three decades since being set by Curt Warner (1979-82).
