Clark Ekes Out Player of Game Honor

Penn State quarterback Daryll Clark received appreciation from Nittany Lion fans for leading PSU's game-winning drive against LSU in the Capital One Bowl, but it was a close vote.

In one of the closest votes of this past season, Penn State quarterback Daryll Clark edged out kicker Collin Wagner with 32 percent of the fan vote compared to Wagner's 26 percent.

On the day Clark went 18 for 35 for 216 yards with one touchdown and no interceptions. He also had 11 carries for 20 yards and ultimately led the offensive in the final game-winning drive.

Wagner went four for four on field goals, including game-winner and one for one on extra points for 13 of PSU's 19 total points.

The FOS Player of the Game honor is the FIRST and ONLY award given to Penn State players by Penn State fans. Voting is conducted exclusively at after each PSU football game.
