oe Paterno held his first weekly press conference of the 2010 season at Beaver Stadium Tuesday. Here is some of what he said:

• The players voted on Monday night for their 2010 team captains; Ollie Ogbu is the defensive captain, Brett Brackett is the offensive captain.
• Says starting QB decision will be discussed and finalized likely on Wednesday night. Claims he is unsure of what decision will be made at this point.
• Chaz Powell has shifted back to offense from cornerback, where he saw much of the preseason.
• Says D'Anton Lynn and Stephon Morris are penciled in as first-team cornerbacks.
• Indicates senior running back Evan Royster is still a big heavier than where they would like him to be.
