Big Ten Divisions Set for 2011

Penn State and Ohio State will be in the same division. The official announcement was made on the BTN Wednesday night.

The Big Ten will be broken into two divisions for football next season. The as-yet-to-be-named divisions are:

Michigan, Nebraska, Iowa, Michigan State, Northwestern and Minnesota.

Penn State, Ohio State, Wisconsin, Purdue, Indiana and Illinois.

Each team has a protected rivalry game in the other division. For Penn State, it will be newcomer Nebraska.

The new alignment is for football only.
