Nittany Lion fans laud the true freshman quarterback with Huddle Up Player of the Game honors for his strong performance against Youngstown State in the opener.

Going 20 for 29 (69%) for two touchdowns and an interception, Robert Bolden was named the Huddle Up Player of the Game against Youngstown State, beating out his main target on the day, Brett Brackett.

Brackett hauled in eight receptions for 98 yards and two touchdowns, averaging 12.3 yards per catch.

Here is how the fan voting broke down:

Robert Bolden (QB): 57%
Brett Brackett (WR/TE): 29%
Collin Wagner (PK): 8%
Chris Colasanti (LB): 4%
Chaz Powell (KR): 2%
